Today is the last day of January, 2010. Tomorrow begins the month of February, the month set aside for remembering the true value of love...the ultimate level of love. For Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts International Association the highest level of love is the greatest discovery of all discoveries. To be aware of what the power of love can achieve in the life and existence of each human being demands an unprecedented concentration of all one's resources. To avoid being deceived by the proponents of animalistic and pornographic perceptions of any form of love, the proactivists of the highest form of love advocate rediscovering the true value of what ulitmate love requires and the fruits of the highest form of love.

"If we had the gift of being able to speak in other languages without learning them, and could speak in every language there is in all of heaven and earth, but didn't love others, we would only be making noise." How many people noise-makers do we have who continue to give lip service to CULTURAL DIVERSITY?

"If we had the gift of prophecy and knew all about what is going to happen in the future, knew everything about everything,but didn't love others, what good would that do?" How many intellectual elitists think they know everything about everything and are still unable to resolve economic crisis, financial disasters, natural calamities, and social injustices?

"Even if we had the gift of faith so that we could speak to a mountain and make it move, we would still be worth nothing at all without love." How many environmentalists, ecologists, and miracle workers have discovered the sacred value of people who live in various parts of the globe through their explorations?

"If we gave everything we have to poor people, and if we were burned alive for preaching the Good News but didn't love others, there would be no value whatsoever in those heroic actions." How many persons give donations and services to the poor of the world from their surplus in an impersonal manner but very seldom give of themselves to the poor and the outcasts of the world?

"Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable or touchy. Love does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do wrong. Love is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone, you will be loyal to that person no matter what the cost. You will always believe in that person, always expect the best of each person, and always stand your ground in defending each person." How many persons are willing to be patient, kind, selfless, humble, gracious, respectful, loyal, a true friend as they climb up and down their personal LADDER OF ACHIEVEMENT in obtaining the ultimate goal of love-driven goals?

Now all that we know is hazy and blurred, but then we will see everything clearly, just as clearly as God sees into our hearts right now. There are three things that remain...FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE...and the greatest of these is LOVE...LET LOVE BE YOUR GREATEST AIM!"

ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION HONORS THE SEARCH AND RESCUE PROFESSIONALS IN HAITI

More than two weeks have gone by since the earthquake destroyed many areas in Haiti. During that same period volunteers from all over the world have assisted the victims of this massive devastation. Even though victims were found alive even after two weeks of being buried in the rubble, the spirit of the people in general has been remarkable and inspirational. The professionals who have assisted in the recovery and the rescue efforts of those victimized by the earthquake are honored for their persistence, for their perseverance, and for their heroism in giving without any thought of return for their generosity. Many of these non-governmental volunteers and professionals have offered their unique talents without any compensation or expected monitary rewards. We salute those who donated their time, their talents, and their treasures to help an extreme poor country to rebuild from the meager possessions that were taken away by such a stroke of nature. To witness in the news the heros who have made a difference to others encourages all of us to applaud the Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts who continue each day to show that they care for their brothers and sisters in other parts of the world.

Although the media gives us stories of those negative leaders who are bent on destroying the will of others by their lies and their deceit, these recent examples of heroism in building up others who have so little in earthly possessions makes us wonder why terrorists continue their negatism for selfish ends and for exploiting the innocent to commit suicide for a worthless cause. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is a gift that Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts International Association wants for all the world to positively experience. To see the smiles on the faces of innocent victims of a natural disaster is encouraging for those of us seem to have so much but value so little. Let us continue to promote positive actions for our brothers and sisters throughout the world even when we think that the negative leaders are gaining a foothold without opposition and with "apparent" success. In the end, the Creator of the Universe will be the Judge of the motives of professionals and of search and rescue teams who are focused on LIFE rather than on DEATH. Again, THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS, both professional and amateur, who cared enough to give their very best for those victims in their time of need and healing. Many of the orphans of the earthquake have been adopted by loving parents who know what responsible parenthood really means for those victims.

TODAY IS THE 37TH ANNIVERSARY THAT ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS DESIRE TO REVERSE TO PRO-LIFE INSTEAD OF PRO-DEATH!

Thirty-seven years ago today, January 22, 1973, the infamous decision made by the highest court in the United States declared that American unborn babies are considered none persons and have no legal status until the umbiblical cord is cut from the mother in the process of giving birth. Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts over the years have protested on each January 22nd the mistake that was allowed to be become the law of the Land in the United States of America. Ignoring all scientific evidence and research, the Court caved into social pressure from extremist feminists who wanted control of all reproductive rights at any stage of human development. The Agenda was carefully presented using the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution as a rationalization for their extremist feminist agenda. The end result has brought about the execution of more than 50,000,000 unborn babies through elective abortions. The average per day in the United States at one point exceeded 4,000 elective abortions a day or about one elective abortion every 20 seconds. In every elective abortion an unborn baby dies as a victim based on age, dependency, viability, and residency. These unborn babies may have had their bodies torn apart by the medical process of elective abortion, but these UNBORN BABIES SOULS LIVE ON IN ETERNITY. The Author of all human life has the final say in securing the ultimate protection of all human life (born and unborn) through the passage of mortal life into eternal life. These Americans with potential to make a difference throughout the land were never given a chance to speak for themselves. However, many voices have been heard over the last 37 years that are making a serious dent in the illogical argument that allowed this legalization to happen. This is a civil rights issue that will not go away until the moral and ethical impacts are truly understood by the current medical advancements that show the existence of human life at all stages of human growth and development especially in the mother's womb.

When one part of the human development is ignored or attacked, then the other spectrum of human life maturity is jeopardized by an attitude that creates a "throw-away mentality." Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts believe that all human life (born and unborn) is sacred and worthy of dignity since the human continuum begins at conception and continues until natural death. History has been a great reminder of negative leaders who created non-persons without legal status using age, race, nationality, religious persuasion, productivity, and stages of human growth and development. Many of these leaders have suffered defeat because of their philosophy and negative attitudes. When one part of the population is apathetically ignored, tortured, or condemned, then the rest of the population is affected in the long run until a TRUE TRANSFORMATION into a more harmonious community that respects the dignity of each human being from conception to natural death. Medical doctors once believed in the Hippocratic Oath without exception. However, because of the multi-billion industry created to kill innocent, unborn babies, the Oath went by the way side. Money hungry individuals have aborted their Oath to save lives and are now pursuing wealth at any cost without any thought of morals or ethics. Promoting a pro-death attitude is demeaning, disgraceful, and unprofessional.

Let us begin anew to rediscover the value, the priceless value, of all human life, born and unborn, as promoted by the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Let us CHOOSE LIFE rather than CHOOSE DEATH for innocent, unborn babies. Let us have compassion for all mothers to be and encourage these mothers to seek proper counseling before pregnancy, during pregnancy, and after pregnancy. Let all responsible human beings take the initiative and the responsibility for caring for all human life at every stage of human development. With better informed individuals, potential mothers and fathers will be aware of the consequences of unprotected sexual activity that is irresponsible and selfish. Love is selfless, always seeking the best for the other person. Self-respect, mutual respect, and respect for each gender will foster a more positive and wholesome atmosphere in which innocent human life will have an opportunity to grow and to develop as a unique Achievement Ladder Enthusiast for the rest of their family and community.

Today, you may want to spiritually adopt an innocent unborn baby in hopes that the prospective parents will CHOOSE LIFE rather than CHOOSE DEATH to the body. The unborn, electively-aborted baby will find solace for their soul for all eternity. Some day, the current legalization of elective abortion will be overturned by sincere, honest, respectful, and mature human beings who care enough to give LIFE and LOVE to a new, innocent unborn baby. CHOOSE LIFE!

CONGRATULATIONS TO AN ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIAST WHO REALLY PERSEVERED FOR 30 YEARS

My heart is pounding with extreme delight for a wonderful woman who has successfully completed 30 years of sobriety today. She has been with AA for her 30 years of taking one day at a time and she has understood the Serenity Prayer...and the Courage to know the difference. In addition, she has been lifted from the addiction of smoking that took possession of her whole being about the same period of time. WHAT A WONDERFUL ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR AN ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIAST!

For all of the 18 plus major medical operations that she has endured over the years, this special woman has earned the respect and the admiration of all of those associated with AA because of her exemplary example in spite of all of her physical afflictions. Although she has lost the sight of her left eye and has partial vision in her right eye, she encourages others to continue their daily perseverance to make their dreams come true with desire, dedication, and determination no matter what the cost in the long run. Also, she has pain from head to toes from arthritis and rheumatism that has attacked her body, BUT NOT HER SPIRIT! Her positive spirit gives her the triumph of living the 12 steps of AA with honor, with dignity, and with respect.

For all of her ups and downs in her lifetime, this special woman lives with a SMILE in her voice and her attitude. She literally has difficulty in getting any positive rest. She is lucky to get TWO HOURS of sleep per day because of the excruciating pain that rocks her body from head to toes. CONGRATULATIONS, KATHY, FOR GIVING US AN EXAMPLE THAT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN MANY PERSONS LIVES. MAY THE HIGHER POWER CONTINUE TO GIVE YOU PEACE, JOY, AND LOVE in your daily life that ONLY the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE CAN GIVE TO HIS CHILDREN. For those HE LOVES...HE PRUNES THAT MUCH MORE! MY HONOR IS TO BE YOUR BROTHER....NOW AND FOREVER!

ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS HONOR IDES OF JANUARY 2010 AWARD RECIPIENTS

For many years, the unsong heroes have been the silent majority of women who have accepted the responsibility of motherhood with faith, with enthusiasm, and with total respect for the lives that they were carrying in their wombs. These courageous women sacrificed their time, their talents, and their treasures to bring new life into the world that gave little support for motherhood. The nine months of total dedication to the unborn baby in their womb made them bait for misinformation, misunderstanding, and misinterpretation of their truly human motives. The joy of bringing new life into the world started nine months before with proper pre-natal care and guidance from medical professionals to these outstanding women of child-bearing age.

In some instances, the mother to be may be contemplating giving their baby up for adoption because of many circumstances such as age, education, and many social reasons. The selfless act of giving life to a new born child was their paramount selfless act to prospective parents who could better care for the new baby's existence. We salute these special women who cared enough to give their babies a solid environment for better development and growth than what they could provide. There is always a tremendous demand for adopting children who are wanted by prospective parents and by the self-sacrificing mother who gives life to the newborn by offering the child for adoption purposes for whatever reason. What a loving act of generosity rather than selfishness beyond words.

These children may some day come to meet their biological mother and say: THANKS MOM FOR THE GIFTS OF LIFE AND LOVE...IT IS GREAT TO BE ALIVE.... We salute all women who have unselfishly provided life from conception to growth and development of their children to adulthood and beyond. These wonderful mothers are our IDES OF JANUARY 2010 ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS' SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD RECIPIENTS. These mothers CHOSE LIFE FOR THEIR UNBORN BABIES AND FOR THEIR GROWN CHILDREN. They deserve special honor and respect every day of their lives because they continue to give LOVE to their LOVED ONES!

WHAT AN EPIPHANY FOR ALL ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS!

To be included in the most wonderful discovery of all time, three Wise Men journeyed to find the Truth behind the Star. The Light was so brilliant that the three Wise Men were intrigued by its unique glowing. This Light gave them direction to a small town in the Middle East. They brought special gifts to offer their discovery...gifts that were fitting for royalty. Along the way the Star continued to light the way to their destination, which took many days over desert and mountainous terrain. When they arrived close to their destination, a local king of the area became aware of the caravan. When the Three Wise Men arrived in the king's area of domain, they received hospitality for the wrong reasons. This local king was jealous that these special Men from the East were looking for the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, as they had read and learned from reliable resources. The local king planned to use these visiting Wise Men for his own purpose...to find out the location of the King of Kings that they were planning to visit and to offer homage. The local king requested that these Wise Men share with him upon their return visit the exact location of this NEW KING OF KINGS. Fortunately, the Wise Men were warned in a dream that the local king had other intentions for their KING OF KINGS discovery.

When the Wise Men arrived at their destination that was heralded by a Light so bright that the eyes would have been blinded, the Wise Men came upon a young woman, a gentleman, and a small baby that had recently been born in a stable...in very humble surroundings. These Wise Men from the East offered the gifts to the HOLY FAMILY and to the KING OF KINGS, THE LORD OF LORDS, THE PRINCE OF PEACE. The interpretations of the readings by reliable resources for these Wise Men opened up the world to the Savior of the World, the God-Man who came to bring PEACE, JOY, AND LOVE to whomever would openly accept HIS INVITATION. These Wise Men spent their precious time in adoration and in respect for the LOVE OF ALL LOVE....GOD WITH US...THEIR EMMANUEL!... After a period of time these Wise Men returned to their Countries with a message of an Epiphany that they had been allowed and encouraged to witness. They would follow the life of this God-Man as they did the Star that led them to His special location....His Eucharistic Presence...These Wise Men shared their Eucharistic experience with all who were willing to listen to their message and the message that the King of Kings and the Holy Family shared with these Wise Men from the East.

The local king was infuriated that the Wise Men did not return to give him the location of this NEW FOUND KING. Therefore, this local defiant king ordered the killing of all innocent young males that were two years old or younger. The slaughter of the Innocents was heard around the world with such anguish of the mothers and the misinformed persons of that age that rationalized that this new KING OF KINGS was a threat to their local king. Yes, more than 2000 years ago, a human being made the decision to kill the most innocent and the most vulnerable babies who had no one to STAND UP FOR THE INNOCENTS. What a selfish and heinous crime was allowed to happen because good people said nothing and allowed apathy to rule the day instead of sound social justice and a genuine, sacred respect for all human beings from conception to natural death. But the MARTYRS of the HOLY INNOCENTS sent a message that a new EPIPHANY was about to occur...that a NEW KINGDOM WITHOUT END was about to become reality for all human beings who were in tune with the Creator of the Universe's positive plan of action. THE EPIPHANY brought about a New Creation for all to LIVE AS HE LIVED if they accepted the KING OF KINGS, THE LORD OF LORDS, EMMANUEL...GOD IS WITH US. The EPIPHANY encouraged all ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS TO BE TRANSFORMED into a NEW CREATION....the LIVING TEMPLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT...the LIVING TABERNACLES of the KINGDOM WITHOUT END. The Wise Men found out on the FIRST EPIPHANY, the first MANIFESTATION, that JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY WAY, the ONLY TRUTH, and the ONLY LIFE to make a POSITIVE TRANSFORMATION.

May each person today realize that the resolutions that they make for 2010 will incorporate an EPIPHANY that will ILLUMINE the world in which we live as LIVING ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS willing to make a difference in a world that is looking for an EPIPHANY for the Twenty-first Century with respect for all human beings, born and unborn!

ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS RECOGNIZE ALL WINNERS EVERYDAY!

As we welcome in 2010, we are encouraged to focus on the process of making success part of our vocabulary. However, some persons consider "success" as winning FIRST PLACE in all areas of competition. As millions watch the various Bowl games in these few weeks after the regular season of football, the emphasis seems to recognize the "winning score" as the ONLY barometer of measuring success. There will be only ONE team recognized by the end of the Bowl games as the National Champion. This attitude of being able to "win at any cost" has multiple dimensions and implications. The lost ingredient of competition in any endeavor in life proves that the "unknown" is often highlighted many years later in the "real world of life competitions." Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts have long understood that the PROCESS in extremely important in BUILDING a positive attitude toward the long-term effects of a "winning attitude."

Many years ago at a high school where my professional services were requested, my opportunity to learn what the "PROCESS" means in developing positive competitive achievements encouraged me to listen to the participants and to encourage long-term results in the process. With a young group of high school tenth graders and ninth graders, my goal was to build a long-term emphasis on learning the various aspects of competitive track and field activities. With some knowledge of running events and minimum experience with field events, my role as coach was to offer all participants the chance and the choice of the various track and field activities. The necessary warmups and stretching and mental preparations for a young track and field team was necessary to advance to the next level. In my first year as coach, our record was no wins and many losses in dual and triangular meets. However, the focus was to IMPROVE on each opportunity their timings, their pacing, their measuring, and their general positive attitude to GROW. These statistics were shared with their fellow classmates after each track and field meet. The PROGRESSION was obvious, and the TEAM was improving its performance as a whole during that first season. In the next season with the assistance of a more qualified co-coach, the TEAM broke EIGHT (8) school records and tied for League Championship at the end of the second season. In the third season, many of these seniors accomplished many endeavors including the League Championship and the determination to be patient in the process and to be supportive of all of their TEAM MEMBERS. Yes, some seniors and juniors qualifed for the Regional and State Track and Field Events. Often, these seniors would have asked to be released from participation on the Track and Field Team because of a job, etc.

The positive commitment to make a difference made these ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS to learn the value of process of building toward lifelong learning goals. These athletes climbed up and down the LADDER OF ACHIEVEMENT over those three years with patience, with respect, with integrity, with honest goals and values, and with desire, dedication, and determination to follow through on any positive competitive opportunity in life.

The final score of any competitive event does reflect a number for statistics; but the positive attitude to be gained from the PROCESS of positive competition is numberless and priceless. The next time that you may have the opportunity to participate in a positive competitive event no matter what the sport or the activity consider the chance to GROW in moving up and down the LADDER OF ACHIEVEMENT with the positive thrust of "I DID IT OR WE DID IT."
