CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NCAA AND NIT CHAMPIONS...2010

Congratulations to the University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Team who successfully had two successive undefeated seasons (2009, 2010) and who were crowned Champions of the NCAA tournament. Very often in reporting sporting news many women teams are overlooked by the men's NCAA tournament each March. The time has come to properly recognize ALL athletes and to give EQUAL time and praise for a team that has been successful without using gender bias. Again, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM FOR ACHIEVING YOUR OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. May you continue to lead the way with your exemplary example in future seasons of basketball and all competitive sporting events.
Congratulations to the University of Dayton Flyers Men's Basketball Team who successfully won the National Invitational Tournament in 2010. This is the third time that a University of Dayton Team has won the NIT Championship: 1962, 1968, and 2010. Although the rumors are that the NIT Basketball Event will be replaced by expanding the NCAA team selections in 2011, the achievement experienced by a team that struggled during the regular season has a positive effect for all alumni of the University of Dayton. Yes, my Golden Flyer pin reminds me of my days on the campus of the University of Dayton during the 50s. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON FLYERS for their successful completion of a winning season by being crowned Champions of the National Invitation Tournament in 2010.
