I find this post interesting because it hits very close to my own moral standards. This quote specifically:

"The money wasn't in family planning, the money wasn't in prevention, the money was in abortion and so I had a problem with that," said Johnson.

When it comes to the topic of abortion, I try to see things from each person's point of view. If I had to choose one or the other, I would be against abortion. HOWEVER, I do believe in exceptions. I SUPPORT abortion when it might cause death or severe complications for the mother. I SUPPORT abortion in the cases of Rape and Incest. The mother should get to decide whether she truly has the ability to love the child under circumstances like that.

But my strongest opinion on this is that I DO NOT support aborption as a form of birth contorl. Absolutely not. There are MANY forms of birth control out there, people need to be responsible. I think that the media encourages loose sexual behavior, and I DO NOT support having sex with people that 1. You don't know or 2. You don't care about. Pregnancy is the result of unprotected sex. Proper precautions should be taken. Even when they are taken, people need to think about the fact that they're not always 100%! You're having sex with someone who could POTENTIALLY be the mother/father of your child. Think about that. Don't have sex with someone you don't respect. How are you going to raise a child with someone like that?

People need to think of the long-term effects as opposed to the short term gratification. Children are too important for you to NOT consider them.
