ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS' COLLEGE SUCCESS SKILLLS COMPLETERS (PART 2)
As we continue to share the testimonials of the College Success Skills students who completed their Ladder of Achievement adventure, you will notice a variety of reactions and encouragements to future college students who select an elective that would prove beneficial to their lifelong learning goals. "I understand that you are starting college. I suggest that you take College Success Skills. Why? Many reasons. First, if you haven't been to school in a while it will help you get in the swing of things again. Like how to take correct notes or how to make the most of your time. The class also teaches you how to create a study system that works for you. Or even if you have anxiety when it comes to tests, this class will give you tips on how to ease the anxiety so that you can do better. The class also goes into how to memorize things which will help you everywhere you go. Now if you're still thinking, "I don't need help in any of those areas." To which you most likely do anyway. Just take the class to boost your G.P.A. But I promise if you take the class, you will walk out with something beneficial. If it is either a piece of information or an "A" to help your G.P.A., IT IS WORK IT."

COLLEGE SUCCESS SKILLS ENCOURAGES LIFELONG LEARNING
For the past three years, my opportunities to encourage the growth of eager Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts has been an exceptional, enlightening experience for the many persons who completed an elective course entitled, "College Success Skills." This special sampling of the Human Beings International Association's members indicates a thirst for knowledge that exceeds the simply transitory notion of just taking another elective course that may fit into their schedule. These individuals are exposed to the challenges of the Ladder of Achievement of going from a negative attitude (zero percent...I won't do this) to the positive attitude (100 percent...we/I achieved this, I DID IT!)...
As a follow through at the conclusion of all sessions, an end of term evaluation is assessed for each person's learning experiences from the elective course. As one of the topics that each person is asked to complete, each person is asked to write a letter to an incoming college student. This letter is expected to address why the prospective student needs to consider completing an elective course in College Success Skills. The completing students are requested to cite examples of what they have learned throughout the term and how they will continue to apply these skills throughout their college career and their lifelong learning experiences. Here is a sampling of some of the letters that students wrote spontaneously at the last session of the term.
"You should take College Success Skills because it helps you understand what is your learning style, and shows you other ways to learn. Also, it helps because one of the assignments gives you a visual of how you are wasting time. Then you can figure what to do to manage your time wisely. It also helps you to start getting rid of being shy in front of a class when giving a report or talking in front of a group of people."
"Dear Incoming Student: You're probably wondering how different college will be from your previous area of study. Perhaps you're coming directing out of high school,or maybe college life isn't something new to you. You may have your core courses lined up, but perhaps you're unsure of what electives to take. College Success Skills may be able to fill in one of those gaps, as well as help your transition into your new college experience with confidence. The course covers many topics and strategies that may assist you to being an active and efficient student, and covers many well-known issues to students, such as procrastination, time management, test anxiety, and future-oriented difficulties. I took this course during my last semester at this college as preparation for my transition to the university. Even though our situations many be different, I'm sure that College Success Skills will offer you many of the insights that I've acquired. Just make sure you come prepared to learn...Learn about learning, that is! Sincerely, a Fellow Student who's vowed to succeed!"
"Dear Student: I am writing you in hopes that you will enroll in a course that has helped me tremendously with not only classroom skills, but as well with career and life skills. The course of which I speak is College Success Skills. The reasons I think that this course is beneficial include the ability to read more fluidly with different strategies, which are introduced, namely the strategy of SQ3R. As well the course gives ways of managing time better such as better study habits, avoidance of procrastination, and more. This course also offers the opportunity to work in a group and improve your interpersonal skills in terms of learning and working with other people. Finally, this course prepare you for the work force by teaching you how to write a proper resume and cover letter, how to interview for a job, and how to associate with coworkers. All in all, I feel this course has made me a more well-rounded individual and is pertinent to success in college and beyond."

YOU ARE THE ACHIEVEMENT KEY TO YOUR FUTURE
What type of key are you? What is your definition of a key? In the dictionary there are as many as twenty-five (25) definitions of the word, KEY. Here are some of the definitions: a metal instrument inserted into a lock to move its bolt; something that affords a means of access (key to happiness); something that affords a means of clarifying a problem; music -- a tone or pitch as of voice; keynote--the main idea of a speech, program, thought, action, etc.; to regulate or adjust (actions, thoughts, speech, etc.) to a particular state or activity; and keystone--a voussoir at the summit of an arch--SOMETHING ON WHICH ASSOCIATED THINGS DEPEND.
You may be the KEY that will move the unlockable door of someone's mind and heart. You may be the only KEY that will gain access to someone's thoughts and behavior. You may be the KEY that will clear up a human challenge that was once considered unsolvable. You may be the KEY that explains or gives useful information about persons, places, or things. Your KEY may be the only KEY that will unlock a very difficult situation with people that you respect and love. You may be the right KEY to keep harmony rather than see discord continue in community and neighborhood relations. You may the one KEY person who will complete or adjust the picture in a group activity. You may be KEY-UPED to influence others through your great intensity of feeling or the inner drive to do something for the benefit of others and the common good rather than give handouts that have bureaucratic strings attached to the welfare given.
You are the future KEY leaders who with your unique personality and conduct will influence the thinking and the actions of other human beings. Since you are a unique person, only one of a kind, the sum total of all of your God-given aptitudes needs to be used in your KEY environments for the well being of the human beings entrusted to your care. BE AN ACHIEVEMENT LEADER AND DEVELOP OTHER ACHIEVEMENT LEADERS
Leaders are those who with their unique personality and conduct influence the thinking and the actions of others because they orient, guide, and direct. Every situation and every environment have people in it who are the main influence on what happens in that situation. These people may not have positions of power. They may not give orders. But just by the kind of people they are, THEY INFLUENCE OTHERS. Their ideas carry weight; and their decisions influence the decisions of others.
As Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts, WE ARE ALL LEADERS because we influence someone or have influence in something. As a leader, our ideas, our judgments, and our goals have a profound impact on more persons than we will ever realize. REMEMBER, WE ARE ALL LEADERS--EXPECTED TO BE A LIVING WITNESS FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE CLIMBING UP AND DOWN THE LADDER OF ACHIEVEMENT ON A DAILY BASIS.
Since we are unique persons, only one of a kind, the sum total of all our our God-given talents needs to be used in the environments for the well-being of others entrusted to our care. Your involvement in your sphere of influence will often affect more persons than you will ever realize. The impact of a cement block thrown from a high bridge into the water will create an obvious splash and will give off a sizable ripple. However, if you threw a pebble from that same bridge into the water, the splash may not be as spectacular, but you will still generate a ripple.
We need to be constantly aware of what's happening in our day-to-day activities, and the affect that our personalities have or that should have on those unique opportunities. WHAT WE DO DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. To be an effective leader, we should be aware of some of the natural qualities expected of leaders. These qualities include the spirit of initiative, the ability to take risks, the mature sense of responsibility, a personal authenticity, and a generosity that is truly selfless.
An effective leader would do well to ponder the following verse entitled, ONLY ONE LIFE. "It only takes ONE SMILE to offer welcome and blessed be the person who will SHARE it. It only takes ONE MOMENT to be helpful and blessed be the person who will SPARE it. It only takes ONE WORD to lend real comfort and blessed be the person who will SPEAK it. It only takes ONE TRUTH to light the darkness and blessed be the person who will SEEK it. It only takes ONE JOY to lift a spirit and blessed be the person who will GIVE it. It only takes ONE LIFE to make a difference and blessed be the person who will LIVE it."

VINCE LOMBARDI CREDO FOR ALL ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS
In a Salute to the American Way of Life, December 1970, Vince Lombardi made a presentation that is as valid today as the speech was in 1970. Here are Vince Lombardi's own words that are an excerpt from that momentous speech:
"Leaders are made, they are not born; and they are made just like anything else has ever been made in this country--by hard effort. And that is the price that we all have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal."
"And despite of what we say about being born equal, none of us really are born equal, but rather unequal. And yet the talented are no more responsible for their birthright than the underprivileged. And the measure of each should be what each does in a specific situation."

ACHIEVEMENT LADDER ENTHUSIASTS UNDERSTAND THE HUMAN BEINGS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCATION'S CHALLENGES
With so many secular world leaders offering proposals to solve the global problems, the materialistic responses lack the enthusiasm and the credibility that holistic intelligence provides. Focusing on spending leverage monies through deficit financing seems to be the primary tools that governments believe that will best resolve the dilemmas that the 21st Century presents. Ignoring what the return on those investments in five, ten, or as much as twenty years from now may end up being another waste of time, talents, and resourceful treasures. Carefully calculating the impact on the future is another example of crystal balling that ends up on the "dung" heap. The often neglected notion is that these leaders have a long way to go to really understand the plight of the typical human being in their day to day struggles with providing the basic necessities of life. Most human beings are humbled by the give-a-way programs and the freebies that governments like to sponsor with taxpayers' resources to achieve as dismal end in the long run. Spending others' investments in a wasteful manner assures that the results will also be wasteful and without any merit. To take advantage of the people is another way of controlling the people.
Human Beings International Association in its worldwide occupation with solving the ordinary challenges of its membership relies on the understanding of the Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts who utilize their entrepreneurial and their intrapreneurial aptitudes, altitudes, and attitudes. Going beyond the natural level based on pure reason to the supernatural level based on faith requires spiritual encouragement and unconditional love risks. There have been many examples of human beings who lived lives that were based on both levels. This gives balance in accepting and in coping with the challenges that every day life gives to each person. One of the greatest examples in the 20th century was Blessed Mother Teresa whose mission in Calcutta, India, was to be the poorest of the poor to achieve the goals of providing for the basic needs of those left out of any government concerns. Blessed Mother Teresa was awarded the Noble Peace Prize, and she gave all of the funds to the human beings that she and her followers cared for on a daily basis. Each human being was given love in action that was priceless and without any pretense or selfish motives. All of the poor were treated the same, but all of the poor were given the sacred dignity that each human being has received from their Creator and Unconditional Lover. We also witnessed the work of Pope Paul the Great as he traveled the world in bringing about the message of Peace, Joy, and Love to ALL HUMAN BEINGS without any exception. He loved the unborn, the dependent, the handicapped, the sinner, the saint, the elderly, the forgotten, the war-torn, the wealthy, the poor, the leaders of the world, and the ordinary persons who lived life simply for love of God.
In a world that is trying to rediscover why economies have gone "sour" and to "reform health care" to provide for the social needs out of justice, the greatest concern still exists in the Human Beings International Association's agenda. How will each human being get the encouragement to reach out to their "neighbor" by giving an "agape" love that has been replaced by anger, by hate, by bias, by prejudice, by greed, by secular humanism, by extremism, by terrorism, and by selfishness in general? When a committed human being who has found what "agape love" means in their life, their examples multiply the world over and impact more than just "spending monies" to eradicate the problem with "band aid" solutions. Imagine if all of the human beings throughout the world really understood that the total love that exists for a human being reflects the unconditional love that is inherited from their Divine Maker, their Creator of all human life. Evil exists in the world in great abundance because there are scarcities of "agape love" that transcends all of the negativity that human beings have inflicted upon one another. "Love God and Love your Neighbor as you Love yourself" is a divine covenant that each human being is totally capable of completing if each human being simply says: "Yes, I do want to live my life fully out of love for God, for my neighbor, and for myself."

Human Beings International Association in its worldwide occupation with solving the ordinary challenges of its membership relies on the understanding of the Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts who utilize their entrepreneurial and their intrapreneurial aptitudes, altitudes, and attitudes. Going beyond the natural level based on pure reason to the supernatural level based on faith requires spiritual encouragement and unconditional love risks. There have been many examples of human beings who lived lives that were based on both levels. This gives balance in accepting and in coping with the challenges that every day life gives to each person. One of the greatest examples in the 20th century was Blessed Mother Teresa whose mission in Calcutta, India, was to be the poorest of the poor to achieve the goals of providing for the basic needs of those left out of any government concerns. Blessed Mother Teresa was awarded the Noble Peace Prize, and she gave all of the funds to the human beings that she and her followers cared for on a daily basis. Each human being was given love in action that was priceless and without any pretense or selfish motives. All of the poor were treated the same, but all of the poor were given the sacred dignity that each human being has received from their Creator and Unconditional Lover. We also witnessed the work of Pope Paul the Great as he traveled the world in bringing about the message of Peace, Joy, and Love to ALL HUMAN BEINGS without any exception. He loved the unborn, the dependent, the handicapped, the sinner, the saint, the elderly, the forgotten, the war-torn, the wealthy, the poor, the leaders of the world, and the ordinary persons who lived life simply for love of God.
In a world that is trying to rediscover why economies have gone "sour" and to "reform health care" to provide for the social needs out of justice, the greatest concern still exists in the Human Beings International Association's agenda. IDES OF AUGUST 2009 -- ACHIEVEMENT LADDER CHALLENGES FACING THE MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS
Although the Members of the United States Congress are presently in recess, they are making their voices heard concerning the various legislative proposals that they wish to convince their constituency to support and to endorse. However, the Members of Congress are well aware of their challenges to be heard in various town halls and venues throughout the United States because of the "controversial nature" of many of these legislative bills before the current Congress. The constituency want to be heard and to be listened to ....ALL OF THE CONSTITUENCY...not just the selected few who have a vested interest in the passage of some of these controversial legislative bills. For all registered voters and for all Americans the time has come to have an active voice in the government that seems to be ignoring the people and the constituency of many congressional districts. We can all agree to disagree about many insignificant "window dressings" and the typical "political spin" that has little substance except for pure rhetoric to sound good and promising. However, when basic principles regarding our Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights are misinterpreted and displaced with ideological jargon that is typical of "masters of deceit," the public has the RIGHT TO KNOW the TRUTH...SO THE TRUE CAN SET ONE FREE.
When the constituency's basic freedoms and rights are being replaced by CHANGE, the CHANGE may be a 360 degree turnaround from what the Founders of our Country envisioned for the future. Members of Congress have the responsibility and the duty to listen to their constituency even when these people disagree with the proposals that are being "rammed" through the Halls of Congress based on "hidden agendas" that will be carried out by Agencies of the United States of America to implement passed legislation. When you put "foxes" in position of authority for guarding the "hen house," we have history to remind us of what the consequences will be for the typical American citizen who trusts their elected legislative representative and senator. When the public loses trust, the confidence level of achieving the climb up the LADDER OF ACHIEVEMENT is endangered and compromised by the actions of unprincipled Members of Congress who ignore their constituency to feed the coffers of the special interests that legislators are indebted to and support in full measure. Money speaks volumes and tainted money speaks greater volumes of unethical conduct that is immoral and phony.
We congratulate all Members of Congress who really take their responsibility of representing their constituency to the maximum with ethical conduct that is laudable and courageous. You have earned the confidence of your voters by your actions rather than your words. You are being recognized as the IDES OF AUGUST 2009 ACHIEVEMENT LADDER AWARD RECIPIENTS. May the following prayer guide you in all of your upcoming challenging procedures and votes in Congress.
"O Lord Jesus Christ Who, before ascending into Heaven did promise to send the Holy Spirit to finish Your work in the souls of Your Apostles and Disciples please grant the same Holy Spirit to the Members of Congress that the Holy Spirit may perfect in their souls the work of Your grace and Your love. Grant the Members of Congress the Spirit of Wisdom that they may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal; the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten their mind with the light of Your divine truth; the Spirit of Counsel that they may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven; the Spirit of Fortitude that they may bear their crosses with You and that they may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose their salvation and the constituency's salvation; the Spirit of Knowledge that they may know God and know themselves and grow perfect in the science of the Saints; the Spirit of Piety that they may find the service of God sweet and amiable; the Spirit of Fear that the Members of Congress may be filled with a loving reverence towards God and may dread in any way to displease Him. THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS
For many persons who are involved as active participants with the Human Beings International Association throughout the world, you will find the prospects for the Ultimate Achievement Enthusiast who realizes that life has true meaning if the U.A.E. is really seeking the Truth that will make one FREE. Freedom comes with a daily price that is imposed by other human beings who are limited in their thinking because of their restricted agendas. These human beings pile on laws after laws and requirements after requirements to eliminate any reasonable thinking that is expected of a free holistic intelligent human being. If the so-called "leaders" who are in charge of other human beings want to create a monopoly on ideas, services, benefits, and representations, the outcome is disasterous as illustrated by the paging through historical volumes. Limiting the scope of any effective and efficient brainstorming is consistent with elitist human beings who want POWER, PRESTIGE, AND PROCREATION of bureaucratic, secular agendas and empowerments within their inner circle that ignores the rights of the human beings at all stages of human development.
To make any positive reform in any human setting requires offering "factual and well-documented" literature that keeps in mind the sacredness and the dignity of each human being for whom the "positive reform" is intended. To bring about MONOPOLISTIC thinking in a multi-cultural environment brings about the risk of alienating human beings as mere OBJECTS rather than human resources that are capable of absorbing what is most appropriate and considerate for the COMMON GOOD of all concerned. As human beings we seem to be wasting our time with concerns for the ECOLOGY and the OVERALL ENVIRONMENTS rather than on the human beings' responsibility to be STEWARDS of the environments where they are located. BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED! The effective and efficient ultilization of HUMAN RESOURCES is the MOST NEGLECTED and ABUSED throughout our Universe. The Infinite Creator and the Ultimate Source of all Human Life is embarrassed by the way creatures make rules, regulations, theories, and laws that are contrary to the Divine Plan for all Human Beings. Yet, the Supreme Being of this Universe has UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for each and every human being that "swims, crawls, walks, and runs" on this MOTHER EARTH. Yes, this UNCAUSED CAUSE of all that the Universe contains desires the best for each and every human being as they climb up and down the Ladder of Achievement from their time in the womb until their time in the tomb. This Loving Creator is defined as LOVE. Wherever love abounds, their is the presence of the Ultimate Creator of the Universe. His Holy Spirit continues to inspire, to nuture, to encourage, to empower each human being to maximize their full potential to make a difference for all other human beings in one way or another. Thinking OUTSIDE THE BOX is the guidance of the Holy Spirit that encourages reform and formation that will transform the human being to a spiritual human being that recognizes the ultimate re-creation of each human being with the mind, the heart, and the will towards the NEW EARTH as God intended. Human beings must rise up and stand up for their freedoms as granted by their Creator to use their time, their talents, and their treasures to be willing witnesses of the Almighty's plan for all Creation. Saying "Yes" to the God of all Love means preparing effectively for the Kingdom that the Creator meant for each and every human being throughout the world. HIS KINGDOM COME, HIS WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN! THANK YOU FOR GIVING US LIFE AND LOVE!

For all Achievement Ladder Enthusiasts worldwide, their strengths and strategies are enhancing and encouraging the Human Being International Association's goals to implement their time, their talents and their treasures that will most effectively and positively give life to their surroundings. The Association's goals of improving the environments in which they live by their making use of their unique gifts for bringing about solidarity to the most neglected, the most forgotton, the most ignored, the most poverty-stricken, and the most hated for their principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Growing up in countries where the impoverished are religated to the bottom of any list makes the challenges even more spectacular for the Human Being International Association. To recognize the value and the sacredness of each human being from conception to natural death means giving equal attention and value of each human being's contribution to the community and to the society in which they live, work, and worship. The Holistic Intelligence of each human being througout the world must always be examined in the light of the dignity of each human being achieving the goals of their special existence with their positive attitude, with their keeness for ascending to the greatest altitude, and with their unqiue human aptitudes that will make a difference wherever they are located.
The Ladder of Achievement is open to all Human Beings International Association members who care enough to live the very best existence even in poorest conditions. The ordinary steps up and down the Ladder of Achievement on a daily basis requires an extraordinary persistence and determination to grow as a total human being even in dangerous and risky atmospheres. The Creator of this Universe desires the maximum with the mental, physical, and interpersonal skills that will greatly encourage others to GROW in their total efforts to make the BEST USE of their time, their talents, and their treasures. Discrimination, bias, perversion, prejudices, and injustices occur because human beings allow the indifferent to rule with no rules. Allowing others to think for your best interests, gives the impression that you have given up on life. Unless you are totally dependent on other human beings for existence, each human being has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness with the use of their time, their talents, and their treasures.
